Branded Memory Sticks Also Known As….
There can’t be many products that are commonly used around the world today that are referred to in so many different ways as the humble USB stick. Whilst some differences can be explained by local or geographical variances, the fact remains that these products are known by so many different names that this can make life challenging when you’re trying to buy (or sell) them! This can confuse, baffle and at times, frustrate people but never fear, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of the many names our USB sticks go by! Whilst we at USB2U tend to call them Flash Drives, we know this is not an exhaustive list by any means, and we welcome any contributions to help us complete this interesting and challenging naming conundrum:

Whilst this might seem to be a trivial matter it does make sourcing branded memory sticks all that more tricky and of course for suppliers looking to promote their services its equally difficult. There can be few products called that we all recognise instantly that we give different labels to - after all, an umbrella is an umbrella, a mouse mat is a mouse mat but a memory stick, well, take your pick.
Fortunately, this small issue doesn’t look like it’s going to dent the inexorable climb of the branded memory stick towards the top of the promotional product pile. After all, no matter what you call them, you can’t deny they do a fantastic job at promoting a company’s brand or product. Don’t forget the main use of these flash drives is to store and carry data, so if you are thinking of buying to give them away it makes sense to use the available memory to pre-load your own data file on first. These files could be anything including sales brochures, technical data sheets, press releases, movie clips or price lists.
